Magnaflow exhaust installed!

:drool:Got the new exhaust on the car yesterday. Sound is great (Magnaflow) much louder, with a rumble at idle. The other thing is it lets you see the rear end under the car if you are behind it in traffic.

:DI will get a sound bite as soon as possible. It is nice and loud outside while not too bad inside. Very different sound obviously than the E46.

Yes it is mandrel bent. I don't think you could get this car to sound like a small block. It is a very european sound. What I like about it most is it is has a nice rumble at idle.

Call me picky/paranoid but I would be concerned about the alteration of the flow characterisitcs under the car and around the muffler based on such a large change to the entire volume and diffuser area. No doubt this exhaust looks waaaay better then stock and I love to be able to see more of the beautiful diff. cover cooling fins. However, I doubt most muffler deisgners/manufacturers are thorough enough to do some simple flow or temperature tests to guarantee no significant rise in differetial.

Where's the OP? If you can't talk about it at least post & say that so peeps don't have to wonder negative things regarding Magnaflow. :) All I know is that the e92 M3 application was listed on their website a few weeks ago & now it's not there anymore.

here's a windy clip of mine with magnaflow exhaust and resonator delete. sounds nasty, mean at idle and under load. will try to repost a better clip soon.
