Does anyone know if individual colours are/will be available on M3? Particularly moonstone...

not in the US. pretty sure that Individual isn't open for Australia either...but i could be wrong. Moonstone is available in the Individual program though.

There is no mention on the BMW website that the Individual program is available on the M3 at this stage, in Australia.

I think individual colours are available – saw a manual M3 at Motorline in Brisbane yesterday in the previous models mustard yellow colour (not sure of the official colour name). I have some pics emailed to me and will post them when I can locate them.

A week after I picked up my car in November I enquired about the individual program and was told only the colour selection was available and was either $4000 or $6000 just for the paint. Nothing else was available. I think that's too much for just the paint job.

$6K was the price quoted to me yesterday as well

I gues opinions will vary however it looks a lot better in the flesh and may appeal to previous owners who had this color ?

What other colors can you order? The BMW individual only shows other colors...anyone know about LSG or that green that was available with the E46?

Oh man, that yellow is just on fire with the CF roof! Damn what a car! Man if you want attention, there's your car. :D

Thanks for the photos bdh2009.

Hmmm it is a nice contrast with the CF roof. Nice to see, this must be the first E9x M-car Individual scheme on here.

This is the M colour that was offered with the E36's and the Z roadster. How can BMW call this Individual and charge you $6000. It's a rip off. I can understand if the colour was from the true individual range.
IMO the colour ruins the E92 body shape. period. :thumbdown

It’s the first one I can find and I have to say it looks sensational in the flesh– according to the very helpful salesman at Motorline Springwood (Tim) he has seen a range of other colors in other BM vehicles ordered and the you can in fact order any color that BMW uses (for a price). (This vehicle has apparently not been sold for those interested.)

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm considering a possible upgrade sometime down the track...moonstone with merino grey leather and dct? What do you think. Auto Classic (in Perth) have a 540 sport on the floor at the moment in moonstone. The colour is sensational, I was told about $4500 for the colour. It does sound steep just for a colour but you may as well be happy right?

That yellow isn't a colour I would order but none the less does look great.

I've been having all sorts of dramas uploading pics of my car, still working on it.....

Individual colour M3's are well and truly here in Australia, there is a Ruby Black E92 M3 at one of the local Sydney dealers, or should i say there was a few weeks back.

Pics of the ruby black M3 would be awesome...

I am not a great fan of grey ... because the interior looks like one of the local cabs ... very ordinary ... that's my opinion. If you're buying a sports car especially a BMW black inetrior is the timeless colour.

That car looks great in Dakar yellow. Much better than the E46 ///M3 looked with the same color scheme.

I wish they had individual colors in the US. I would have loved to get my M3 in Indy Red. Dark Met. Green with the Terra Brown leather would have been awesome as well.

Moonstone is available, as is virtually every colour on the BMW colour pallette that has ever appeared on a BMW in the last 10 years.
Just go into your dealer, they will have a drawer full of the colour samples there to show you (I recently went through them all with the guys and the new BMW Sydney Northshore).

Dakar Yellow was last a standard M3 colour option on the E36, the E46 had Phoenix Yellow.

True, but there were a few Individual E46 M3s in Dakar (forum member watrob had one) and it was these that Sedan Clan was referring to.

I agree with him - Dakar looks better on the E92 than the E46.

Motorline had a little trouble selling that Dakar Yellow, offered it to me. I don't think they will do that colour again and put it on the floor.

I had a Dakar e46 M3 a few years back and resale was difficult. Pick a colour that in a couple of years will still be in fashion.

Nice choice, there's a few Moonstone 335i's floating around Aus dealers at the moment, it's a gorgeous colour!
