Get a pair of Sparco Millano's in Alcantara, or a pair of Recaro's. Each will offer a custom seat track system for the E92

I asked about this long time ago..wanted to add Recaro Sporster CS seats. I also wanted to check and see if the 1-series Performance parts seats (same ones, but "bmw" branded) were able to be added to the M3.
Here's my original thread...not much action! http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2064393#post2064393

I'd like to know as well especially the cost of the brackets/sliders/rails & if there's a solution already available to deativate the side airbag light from coming on. Where's the cheapest place to get those seats & how much? Slightly off-topic...My friend just traded in his Evo VIII for an Evo X. I thought those Recaro's in his VIII was comfy & held me in place really well until I sat in the X. The Recaro's in the X are even more comfy!

Prices for the sporster CS are i THINK either 1200 or 1400 a seat, and 1700 for leather..
Brackets are supposedly best if you have someone make your own, as I heard (don't take my word for it please) that Recaro brackets are weak, and they should cost somewhat close to 150$ each.

Thx for the info. $1200-$1700 each? Umm, they're nice & all but I'm not sure I can justify it. Now, if the seatbacks were cf then I'd probably be down for that! :D

Why don't you take a wild guess what seats those are...
Hint: They start with "Re", end with "ster CS" and were mentioned previously!
Oh and, what color is that? Europe specific?

Yeah, I know wishful thinking on my part. :D

I can't imagine how much those cost if they were ever sold in the U.S. I'm sure somebody and/or a vendor can get ahold of them including the black version from the Euro BMW Performance Parts catalog.

You haven't read any of my posts!!!:D:D They do come in NA, but they have no air-bags. They are 12-1400/seat or 1700 for leather (those there are not leather), and they're the Recaro Sportster CS!

No shit, Captain Obvious! I posted the pic. I didn't ask what seats they were. I simply stated that I liked them in that specific color! That's the same color as the interior of my white Range Rover sport. IMO, it looks very nice.

Those seats do look hot, but honestly around 1,500 per seat sounds a bit low. How much is each OE seat? I´m sure much more than that!!! What about air bags, electronics and all that?

Actually it's a good price (at least here), if not a tad expensive. The price is for the seat, no brackets, no airbags, no electronics, no CF nothing...just the (not even leather! lol) upholstery + great engineering!

Got it, thanks!!! Wouldn't it be a mess to deal with all the electronics, air bags, etc...?

Yup, that too. Forgot about that. Again, if you want a lighter, MUCH more supportive seat, get this...but you really must want it, because you will be sacrificing quite a bit, as well as paying for it!!

Don't forget the speakers under the seats for those with premium sound.
I didn't know there were speakers underneath the seats w/the premium sound option. Is it like a mini-bass/sub or a midbass speaker? Does anybody have a diagram of all the speakers?
The more I thought about it, the more I realized I just can't justify a minimum of $3000 for seats & all required parts (rails, sliders & airbag sensor issues). Oh well...

Yeah I know. I was thinking about it, but then decided it will be a large trade-off + it costs...I decided that when I get mine, I'm gonna try and get the euro seat bottoms.
There is a picture of the speakers somewhere. I don't remember where. Maybe search, but I don't recall if I saw it on this site. Sorry :(

I heard the euro seat bottoms are a couple hundred dollars...each! :( I'd like to have them as well.

That I can justify. I mean..they look so much better. Not to mention, they also flow with the curvature of the seat + add support!

True! I wonder if we can get a vendor to do a groupbuy...

When I get my car. I will be asking BMW directly. Will see if that works. There really is NO reason it shouldn't!
