View Full Version : New forum for the XI owners?
SWEET~ Nice feature. We can all talk about how we can get to work in style in the middle of a freaking snow storm.
Kudos to the owners and the mods!

Many suspension mods, AWD issues and I am sure we'll all talk about 17" vs 18" for our xi cars.
I think it'll be great cause all of the xi'ers will finally have a forum to collect our learnings.
Thx again mods.

Yea seriously. You guys notice the enormous front wheel gap? I have the stock 17"s still on as I'm contemplating which rims to get and the wheel gaps are painful to look at.
I think we should start a support group for this wheel gap issue. Maybe start a little fund to help the brothers to all get coilovers so they can sit however high or low they want :D

Heh. Works for me. Suspension is on my list of to-do's for my car. But only after I get the M-sport kit first, a new trunk, and a set of rims. I'm stuck between M6 reps, Morr VS7s, and CSL reps.

LMAO. I'm still stuck on my stock 16" - saving up for 19" V-710s :happyanim:.

Excellent. A place at last for all us bastard children of the 335 community to plot and scheme against BMW's one wheel drive wonder, the 335i.
I'd say we should go let the air out of their tires, but we'd onlly be helping them get better traction.
Props to my xi comrades!

KWV3 rides stiffer and I feel the road more at low speeds but this is not uncomfortable. At high speeds it is definitely smoother, more stable, and there is no body roll when cornering. If you want to upgrade your handling this is the way to go .

They're really hot actually. My buddy was part of that group buy for the VS8s. The wait time on that is nuts though. He's been waiting for the better part of half a year and when I asked him last week when he was getting them, he told me it would still be about a month lol.

Just saw this forum this morning, nice to see some fellow XI'ers out there. About the wheels, how do the 18's perform? Does it require a lot of modification to the rest of the vehicle or not? If I go with new wheels, can you ge the 18's with the runflat option and the Tire monitoring system? Sorry, I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to wheels and suspension. I've spent the past year learning ow to detail my car and now some idiot took out my rear bumper. I can't bring myself to go out and rub the car down and see the damage until I get it replaced. Also, anyone have any experience with the M-Tech bumper? A gy on another forum suggestd I replace the stock bumper with the M-Tech but I'm not finding a lot of information on it.

Just get them, you'll need spacers up front though, so make sure you have a good, competent shop do the install, and check the tightness of the bolt from time to time. Replace bolts or studs as necessary.

The VS8s are hot, almost as hot as the NEEZ EuroCross 7Model.

18" are fine. You can take a look at the for-sale forum. There are a ton of OEM rims with stock RFTs for sale over there.
Do you have a coupe or sedan? Also, where are you located?
The M-Tech bumper looks something like this:

I am in Spain for about another 20 days and will then be in DC. I expect the car to get to the US around mid-August. I have the Sedan, had to find a way to convince my wife that it is a family car...
That Coupe picture looks awesome, I love the larger exhaust diameter. So much to buy and so little patience.
I'll go and look for the wheels, thanks,
If you're gonna be in DC, Tischer BMW in Silver Springs, MD is your friend. Hit up Evan @ Tischer or Jason @ Tischer, coz they have specials on the M-Tech rear bumper. They can probably arrange to have it painted and installed at their body shop as well. Also, they have specials going on for a lot of OE parts, checkout http://www.getbmwparts.com or http://www.mileoneparts.com
These guys are awesome to deal with.

I just saw this part of the forum, and I have to say, it was about time. If you guys with 335xi feel left out, imagine how I feel with a 330xi, no love from the non xi and no love from the 335. That's what you call a bastard redhead stepchild living with his uncle that is not really his uncle.
