I know the KWs are God's suspension on this forum. So please try to limit spreading your KW gospel on this post. I was just wondering if anybody tried the H&R coilovers for the xi.

Thanks.

Was wondering myself. Had a set on order with tirerack, but it was backordered for 8-10 weeks. Ended up shelling out the extra cash for the KW due to my impatience. We'll see how they work.

From what I know, the H&Rs are not adjustable for compression or rebound. So if the standard settings are to harsh then you are stuck. I was just wondering how that standard setting rode. Let's hope someone has tried them out on the xi.

Maybe we can convince a sponsor to send one of us a set for free so we can review it! :)

I have the H&R coilovers installed on a 2006 330XI with 19x8.5 BBS CH rims and 245/35 19's at all four corners. The ride is much better than the stock setup and handling is greatly improved. The look of the car lowered is like night and day over the stock setup. I highly recommend the product and do not be concerned with the ride being too stiff. It isn't.

Thanks for review on the 330xi. It sounds very promising, and I probably will end up getting a set for myself. It's just a matter of time.

wow... didnt know there were so many others waiting for some damn reviews on the H&R :)

THR4OSU, how is it over big bumps and potholes. less harsh than stock? more? similar? i care more about that than handling.

You guys all get free sets... wait :slap: Can't do that.

I worled with rldzhao back awhile ago now, when I knew their coilovers would work and after his install H&R publically acknowledged fitment for the xi. Honestly they work out well. They aren't the KW's as the OP has said God's of suspension (thats not just in this forum, its out there from publications and records being set) but they are a cheaper alternative in that they are an actual coilover for the xi's.

Anyway here is his mini review - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2117249&postcount=10

Did he happen to have 275's in the rear? My vs8's are coming soon and I'll probably end up getting 275's just to help the x-drive system. Now if my car needs to be dropped which I'm planning it probably will. I don't want to have rubbing issues if I get the H&R's or the KWs. I have an e90.

Are they still on backorder? Does anyone have any idea when they'll become available?

It's been like 2 months now. :( What the heck is H&R doing?
