New M cars with so much power and low end torque, are somewhat disadvantaged by an intrusive traction control systems which limits the amount of power you can put down due to tire slippage.
Porsche, GTR, Bugatti, Lamborghini, AMG, ... All recognize that if you make all that ridiculous power, you need to figure out a better way to lay it on the pavement.
Besides, hasn't the i8 taught us anything? BMW can pull off a fantastic, sporty and very well handling AWD car. No doubt. Imagine what the M division can do with that AWD system ...
