I have E46 M3 transmission mounts and AKG motor mounts. The trans mounts added a little bit of gear noise, but only a hair, and some clutch chatter at idle. Definitely shifts more consistently in the bends. The motor mounts, however, added a considerable amount of NVH,
especially at idle. They did improve steering response, added some good mechanical noises, and made the whole drivetrain far more precise and confidence-inspiring.
