I just installed the lates Android 11 Avin unit and have a few observations that I hadn't noticed before in all the various comments and documentation on the avin support site. I might have missed some, though, since there is so much information.
Avin has a new app to support Car Play and Android Auto. Zlink. This app is awesome and allows for WIRELESS Android Auto, without any additional dongles or adapters. I expected to have to use a USB connection for Android Auto, and this made my day.
The main Avin harness is now wired to directly connect to the CIC HU aux by default, no need to run a cable to the armrest anymore, but it requires coding to use the HU aux instead of the armrest HU. See here

It is still possible to run a cable to the armrest, simply unplug the AUX connection in the main harness and plug in the AUX cable to the armrest.
