JMO, but it is a real issue. Porsche has the same problem with their GT cars.
It's the unfortunate reality of how effective low-volume halo cars are for brand building. Look at the LFA, Carrera GT, Ford GT, etc.

However, it's a common myth that Porsche does it with GT cars. The data shows it's actually skyrocketing demand vs limited production. Production is not limited, and Porsche produced 3x 991 GT cars vs 997 (unheard of for $150K+ sports car).

Porsche even intentionally screwed over flippers with 911R by secretly adding a manual to 991.2. 911R prices plummeted over night. No other OEM has done that.

I do think the huge GT demand is interesting. I think it's because everyone else stopped producing NA manual cars. I wish other OEMs took note and build similar cars.
