I did strongly consider trying ozone, but after some research have decided against it. There is a lot of conflicting information out there on this topic... Some say it is an effective way to eliminate odors, while others say it degrades plastic and rubber and should never be used inside a car.
I imagine a short burst of ozone might not have much of a negative impact, but I intend to keep this car for a long time so would rather not chance it.
