If they only make 500 cars over 1 year, that means dealers will get an average of what - 2 cars? 3? (not sure how many dealers there are).
That means the car will always be sold at a premium over MSRP, which will not only defeat the purpose of bringing new, younger and less affluent people into the M fold, but will all but guarantee the enthusiast base will skip it too (few cars = no test drives and high prices).
I personally think BMW will build as many as it can sell, which is still not much with such a short production run. But I'm hoping at least I can test drive it - otherwise I'll keep the M3 and live happily ever after.
