I've run Dunlop Direzza Star Specs and Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my 128i, and I've loved both. I started with the Dunlops, and when I had to replace those, the PSS's had just come out and were actually cheaper than the Dunlops, which is why I tried them (there must've been some sale or rebate or something...). Anyway, now I think the Dunlops are a good deal cheaper. The Star Specs are great tires, but less refined than the PSS's and not as long-lasting.
