This is just me, but I would take just about anything in the Shure lineup over Bose, the price point wouldn't really matter that much. Personally I own a pair of now discontinued SE420 earbuds, and they're pretty tremendous. Shure is always a bit light on bass, but I don't mind that. Bose to me sounds muddy, not enough clarity up top. Of course this is all moot if the music isn't lossless quality, I always lol when people spend huge sums of money on speakers and headsets only to play low quality MP3s through them
