I have a similar issue with my 2010 335i (e92) with Dinan Stage 2 suspension. I went with +1 tires on stock wheels:

Original: 225/40-18: Height: 25.1" Width: 8.9" (RFT)
Current: 235/40-18: Height: 25.4" Width: 9.3" (DW) - Suspension clearance 5mm closer to suspension/brakes

After I installed the Dinan CF Intake, I believe it pushed out the fender lining out ever so slightly which is causing the rubbing when the wheel is cranked and reversing out of a parking spot.

I am looking to replace the front tires but what to get rid of the rubbing issue... I am trying to determine if it is because of the increased height or increased width - any ideas?

Options for replacement (front):
235/40-18: Height: 25.4" Width: 9.3" in PSS, I assume it will rub more than the current DW (Suspension clearance 5mm closer to suspension/brakes)
225/40-18: Height: 25.1" Width: 8.9" (no change - same as original)
225/45-18: Height: 25.9" Width: 8.9" (no change to suspension clearance, wheelwell filled out by additional 11mm)

If height was the reason, looks like I should go back to the 225/40-18; if width was the concern - then I'd like to go with the 225/45-18. However, if the overall height is larger or smaller than the rear wheel is that a concern?

Thanks for the input.
