Thanks for the responses.
I want a range of more than 100 ft which is why IR is out of the question (as well as it has issues with location and sunlight). The range is important as I tend to go skiing in Colorado and put my camera outside while I am inside and take pictures of the night sky. I also have to be able to utilize the bulb feature.
