So I know it is possible to make a 335i "better" and faster than an M3 by modding and chipping it.

So I was wondering....
Is it possible to make a 328i "better" or on par to a 335i through upgrades?
Why or why not?

I am not that knowledgeable about how everything works, but this is what I think and please correct me if I am wrong or let me know if I am correct.

M3 = V8
335is = I6 with TwinTurbo
335i = I6 with TwinTurbo
328i = V6

So can't you just add upgrades just as you would to a 335 to make a 328?
What mods would be needed and what are the best possible mods that can be done to make the BEST 328 ever (if possible)?
