Just an idea...
There seems to be a lot interested (including myself) in coding their F30's/F31's and it seems also that many of our UK members are rather savvy with it!
So just a thought and something I'm willing to try and create; a map coders who are willing to code other members cars.
Here's how I figure it could work:
Members with 3 Series coding ability (
who are willing to code other member's cars) post here or PM me the city or county you live in (not your exact address obviously!). Most of you already have your rough location in your little profile thing when you post!
I'll create an unlisted map in Google Maps, drop pins and draw circles/squircles around it (roughly 10 mile radius), with the member's name and car details and hopefully we'll build up a bit of a coding base across the UK! I'll then paste the link here for you all to access.
So if you willing coders could post in a structure not too dissimilar to this:
Location (county/city/whatever):
Model: e.g. 2012 F30 328i Luxury
Colour: e.g. Glacier Silver
Software Token(s) you have:
Am I missing anything?
So what are your thoughts - yay or nay?
If yay, any additions/refinements to suggest?
I think this could work quite well. A member could go on the map, see 'SuchABody456' with the right 2012 token is only 15 miles or so away from them and then Privately Message them to ask if they would be willing to code their car and arrangements, etc... among yourselves.
There could be a crate of beer or a selection of real ales in it for you!
