We're now seeing EVIL cameras with DSLR sized APS-C sensors and I wouldn't be surprised to see "pro" cameras in a year or two that have full-frame sensors and really small pixel-pitches that will stand 500+% crops. Keeping capatibility with legacy lenses will assure a fast transition for many pros as the technology matures in the very near future.
