Hello, My 2009 335i (104,000 miles) has been rough idling and going into limp mode for the past few months. The car looses boost at around 4000 rpm and will go into limpmode on startup or at higher rpms. On start up it also makes a waste gate rattle, but if it doesn’t immediately go limp the car won’t have any rattle. Initially it was a 2a87 code which I fixed by replacing the old vanos solenoids with new bosch sensors and replacing the oil. It fixed the 2a87, but after a week the car went into limp mode again and gave me a 2a7a code. I replaced the Cam sensors which fixed the problems entirely for about a day. The code came back with a 2a7c code and went limp on start up. After turning the car off and on again the limp mode went away. I’m not sure where to go from here. I’ve reset adaptations and checked connections to Vanos sensors. Is the next step to replace the cam bearing ledges?
