I just finished install my V-1 in an E93, the light fixture drops down by placing a finger in the spot light and gently pulling down. Use a flat screwdriver to press in the metallic clips. Then, i pulled down firmly on the right side to pull the unit out past those plastic clips on the side; it came out without any issues.
I saw 2 torx screws holding the mirror in, I used one for the ground. The green with white stripe wire provides power when the engine starts.
Simple, quick, and easy. Thanks for all the DIY info.
