Theres plenty of great cars out there now. In the sport coupe/convertible market that would be a tough road. MINI has been successful as a practical premium sub-compact. A true Triumph would not be all that practical, which puts it in the specialty market like Miata, TT, Z4, Cayman, etc.. which is a market full of proven cars.

And if you really want a new Triumph, you can get a 2-wheeled model right now. I have an Thruxton in the garage that is a hell of a good bike...
