Well keep in mind, I'm describing rub under a bit more aggressive driving conditions. I'm not your average BMW driver. I've got a good thousand miles on tracks up here in Norcal and come from Miatas, E36 M3s, and my last car was a BRZ. I give my 435i throttle going into a turn, brake, late apex, and throttle on exit. I get tire wear on the outer edge of my tires because I push pretty hard. So I'm kinda used to throwing my car around.
There's generally a compromise when it comes to street cars - there's looks versus performance. So it's a dance between getting what we want the car to do and looking how we want it to.
If you are a mellow, straight line power, street cruising guy, - you won't rub.
But if your car will see some hard street driving and track days, you will - but it won't matter as you'll expect it.
