I would start by getting a mechanic to check the AT fluid level, maybe it's low. And changing the AT oil is probably a good idea (many debates about it, but it's up to you).
Try downshifting with steptronic, does it also happen? Sport mode?

it happens in al driving modes, but it comes and goes. one time i go to stop and its smooth as silk, other times it jerks.
