Earlier this week I took off the Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S run flat tires that came with my F15 diesel for a new set of non-RFT
Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV 255/50R19XL (via Discount Tire) and couldn't be happier.
This will be my winter set-up. The Hakkas seem to be handling the standing water on the roads and freeways of the Pacific Northwest better than the Verde's and I'm hoping they'll do a lot better in the snow on ski trips to Whistler and the North Cascades. Its still early but they seem to be a bit quieter as well (maybe because they're not run flats?).
I've driven 500 miles on the Verdes and only 100 miles so far on the Hakkas. Will report back after another 500+ miles and hopefully a little snow action.
