I still buy music CD's, but it is fairly infrequent. Unfortunately, most current artists have no more than 1-2 songs worth listening on a full album.
On a decent audio system, you can still tell the difference between an mp3 (even at high bitrates) and the original CD. Now, if there was a way to get lossless downloads, then I would never buy another CD.
I am in the process of converting all of my CD's to a lossless digital format. I am probably going to use Apple lossless (though I hear FLAC is good, too). For my ipod I have been using mp3, but will probably do all future tracks as AAC (smaller filesize).
