I tend to agree with Kerr on this one, especially when I consider the drop in insurance premiums I've just had to pay.

Granted, I have seen a few cases of this type of theft happening, but I certainly would class it as an epidemic yet.

IMO I can't help thinking its a bit like the E90 swirl flap issue. A lot of cautionary tales, but try to get somebody to post an actual failure and they are few and far between.

I'm happy to be proven wrong on this, but this is my current perception on the matter (right or wrong).
