Yeah, those are some big rubbers the factory puts on those M5 wheels.
Don't think it would be as bad with a smaller size. Also, I haven't measured but the 10mm spacer provides a significant amount of caliper clearance... meaning you can probably get away with less. Also remember, you don't need spacers in the rear.
