You could have definitely used more foreground light in the firs pic.

Take it for a test drive, I know I'm being biased but just test drive one and you'll fall in love. & I have a Canon T1i, 7D, and 60D. Don't remember which lens I used. These last pictures were just in my garage, I'll do some lit pictures over the weekend.
But yeah, just test drive one I can't hurt to try?
