If I had to guess (and this is strictly a guess), you are negotiating with the dealer in Chapel Hill. You should really shop around. In my experience the dealer in Raleigh was a far easier and better sales experience. They offered me a deal just over invoice on my 335i with no discussion/haggling. I am not sure if there will be a major difference due to it being an M3 versus a 335i, but its worth the drive. If you want PM me and I can hook you up with the sales guy I bought my car from.
