i agree. i personally don't bother with dip sh1t. lol
if it's leaking, no amount of checking will help.

however, i think bmw done a half ass job on the electronic dip stick. it should be more detail such as telling you exactly where the oil level is instead of just saying it is full or not. I like to know exactly weather the oil is at min or max mark.

same goes for TPS. I want to know exactly what PSI is on each wheel at any given times.

more sensors is better. I want to know exact temp of oil, engine, coolant. I think sensors should be more reliable or atleast the computer should give a warning that a sensor fail instead of light up something on the dash that freak you out such as a transmission light, but in fact it just a temp sensor failing. that's just stupid IMO.
