Canon advantages: Slightly cheaper Pro glass. More super-tele glass options. Canon offers rebates quite often for their stuff, while Nikon rarely does.
Nikon advantages: Better high ISO performance. Broader lens range, since you can use just about any lens from 1959 on.
I think Nikon has better ergo's too, but that is my opinion. Can't really go wrong with either.
