Not really, there are many different forum posts about the problem. Lots of people just stick some black felt over the trim. I don't know if it's the angle of the sun at this time of the year or what the deal is but it is super annoying to have a sun bright spot directly in your line of sight while driving a car. It is only really a problem for me on the morning / mid day.

Here's a photo of what I mean. And it's kind of tricky to get a decent shot so this probably doesn't even look that bad...

But it is actually very bright.
I get this on my HUD on bright sunny days as well. I never thought to wrap the trim. Thanks for the good idear!
