Does it really? It's heavier and it's got a bigger engine. I mean, the engine itself might be more efficient, but that doesn't mean the car itself will earn better mileage as a result.

The S5 doesn't surprise me. However, it'll receive the new TFSi V6 soon so those numbers should improve.
