You can drive the M3 as a commuter car, especially if you have EDC, so you can drive in 'comfort' or 'normal' mode on the highways. The only downfall is the gas mileage, so if you have a very long commute, the fuel tank (very small) and fuel consumption (18-19/per gallon on the highway) may give you pause.
