Non BMW Extended Warranty?

I am currently in negotiations with the purchase of a 2011 135i (w/DCT) from a non-BMW dealer when the option for an extended warranty came up. Normally I wouldn't give it much thought but this time I am considering this option. The terms are $2,195, $2,295, or $2,495 for 48, 60, or 72 months respectively. They all go to 100K miles and have a $0 deductible. The carrier is AUL.

My question is would/has anyone gotten a non-BMW extended warranty and what was there experience with it? Also, because the car is being sold at a non-BMW dealer, could I still purchase a BMW extended warranty from BMW?

Obviously I am taking the car to BMW before I purchase it either way and, pending there assessment, I will purchase the vehicle. I'm thinking I should just pocket the cash and hold onto it if something were to happen. After all it still has the BMW warranty until October 2014 and mileage wont be an issue since I drive approximately 60 miles a week max.
