I had this issue on mine as well. For what its worth check if the car has been over a curb thingy on the front bumper. The previous owner had gone over a couple and pulled some of the screws out of the bumper. If you weren't looking for it you would never notice it. I only found it when I put 235/40/18 Conti DW tires on and 8.5 inch VMR wheel and got the rubbing on the right side on the oil cooler vent in reverse like what you guys are experiencing.
I got a few replacement screws and screwed the bumper back into the black plastic underlining on the car and problem solved!
