The Mustang has TC. Any driver worth his/her salt is not going to compete with the TC enabled so it is a moot point.

Dollar for dollar, the Mustang is a much better performance car than the 135i. For $20k you could afford the following modifications for a new Mustang GT.

Twin Screw or Roots Supercharger $4-5k
Coil-overs, sways, links, etc. $3-5k
Brakes/Wheels/Tires (non R-compound) $2-6k
Misc supporting mods $2-4k (This could be put into the engine to allow the SC to be set to much higher boost.)

In the end, you would have an 11 second car that should pull well over 1 g in the skidpad and outrun any production BMW in any speed event.

Having said that, I would rather have the 135i with a tune and various other bits and help my dad turn his new Mustang into the car posted above. Nate
