supercharger would do very nicely... approximately the same price difference from a 325i to a 335i would be about $7k (depending on mileage and condition)... you can get a nice supercharger for the N52 for $7500 with 50% increase in power w/ intercooler... for 325i, that's a whopping 110hp... putting it at 325hp... slightly more than stock 335.... if you start adding major mods like Cylinder bore (to 3.2ltr - 3.4ltr), ceramic coating, Methanol kit, oil cooler, and much more, you're looking at M3 power before long.
The problem with this is, you're likely taking away from the notorious reliability of the NA engine.
Reviews from testers also note that the transmission can't take that much horsepower (usually melt or lock up at ~290hp).

As for myself, i have a separate bank account set up for such modding (within 2+ years of course) and a 7spd DCT is in the works as well. Maybe in this amount of time, they will come up with a twin supercharger for our NA engines... who knows?
