That's a tough one to diagnose. Bad valve seals? Blown head gasket? Bad turbo? I would think if the turbo was bad it wouldn't smoke only on start up. I'm sure there are plenty of guys in here that experienced it (search the forum). I would expect burning oil for bad valve guides (blue smoke). Did you check your coolant level to see if you are losing coolant? |
Well it's too late for diagnosis now. The timing chain failed and I'm getting a new engine.
