Definitely a case of YMMV.
I got the original 19" RE050A down to 4/32" in 7000 miles and for the replacement set of 18" RE050A I , I got the rear down to the wear bars in 8000 miles (the fronts had another 2k-4k miles from a tread depth standpoint, but the shoulder and outer edge were worn down, so I replaced the set)
front tires lasting 35k..wow.. that is some pretty conservative driving.
