One time there was an Allens out there and I will never forget how that one sounded.
I held a hummingbird feeder at arms length for about 5 mins one time (yes, it hurt) and was surprised to see that i had a couple of the birds drink from it while i was holding it. They are pretty fearless as long as you're not moving.
