Steer clear of vw my friend. I already had to deal with so much crap on my 2006 passat at 65k miles:
-Oil leak on turbo gasket
-Coolant temp sensor failure
-A/C compressor failure (A/C is still not THAT cold)
-Some weird turbo pressure knock off when I accelerate too fast
-Buttons starting peeling
-Headliner as starting to detach
-CV joints are already bad
But on the other hand I do still own a 2002 jetta 2.0L (non turbo) at 180k miles solid.
