A bit more than a claybar...

I picked up some scratches from flying debris on the M25

98% Laquer damage, so time to sort.

A quick wash

And squeege

And the damage is clear...so

Out with the mop, primed with quick detailer

And some G3

Apply to area

First pass

And another

The end result

If i look hard at the panel, i can see a faint trace of the scratch in the worst area, but i don't have confidence in the quality of BMW paint to hit it again.

Its not a job for the feint hearted, but i have done it before, on crap cars tho.

I used speed 3.5, at moderate pressure, always keeping the buff moving, and not dwelling on panel ridges.

Now for the bonnet
