this statement is incorrect. an all season tire does lose in winter to a true snow tire and to a summer tire in the dry. but a set of hybrid pads will outperform OEM or similar on the street and track. the hybrid pads, say my ds250s, work very well at lower temps used on the street and work even better once heated at the track. they also arent too bad on rotors. the trade off really is a nonissue.
