I'm also somewhat new to the LSD discussion, but I'm curious if someone can explain the difference between an electric diff vs. a LSD on a BMW. A quick search on the internet reveals some interesting information on electric diffs on trucks and 4x4's, but what about on a BMW? Is this simply the traction control braking that occurs under hard cornering when sliding? If so, this sucks. I always disable the nanny's on a track because I find it intrusive. Can someone let me know if I'm confusing an electric diff with traction control or if these systems work together in some way?
