I apologize if this has been covered or is in the wrong forum, but I am looking for information from anyone that has done ED and purchased a child's seat from BMW at the Welt.

We understand that the child seat is not US DOT compliant, but we do not want to lug our seat to Munich. Can we purchase a child seat at The Welt and use it on our trip, then bring it back as a souvenir I guess?
