I want a contest theme of "greatest fear" where you shoot an image of whatever scares you the most. I'll never win one of these damn things, so I hope someone else goes with that theme.

I think I got hosed on a used Tokina 16-50/2.8. Check out this video. Sound normal to you guys?

Just wanted to post an update to this. I received the original receipt and sent the lens to Tokina for evaluation. I called them yesterday to check on the status and they said they received the lens on the 8/31, repaired the autofocus motor, and shipped it out on 9/1. I should have it back on Thursday. Repair was covered under warranty.

Also, using my wife's education discount, I just picked up Adobe Lightroom 3 for $59! I'm pretty excited to give it a try. I've been using Bridge and CS5 to manage/post-process all of my images, which I've aways found somewhat cumbersome.

Have you guys watched the World Track and Field Championships in Daegu, South Korea?

Always lots of photographers at these events, and I noticed that non of them used flashes anymore?

I guess they just crank the ISO.
