True, but depending on how they welded the pieces together and the quality they put into constant welds. And is everything on the pipe 304 stainless? flanges, bungs etc?

Just got my pipes and I must say they are much nicer than what I thought they would be and the welds look good. Cellphone pics:

i had mine installed on monday.....i used the stock clamps as the plm has a wing nut instead of a bolt.....they fit perfect! the car does make that that annoying raspy metalic sound with stock mufflers though...not sure why. I did eliminate the mid cats. lag is gone and above 2k rpm it sounds exotic. the power band is smother and the throttle responce is better. I havent dynoed it yet. the thing is...when u eliminate lag its hard to tell the difference as the powerband is more linear.

The rasp is due to being completely catless.

Yeah I agree, I think it's due to the being completely cateless. You could try resonators or throw your stock mid pipes back on and give it a try before you buy something esle.

Just a suggestion

Have resonaters welded in where the secondary cats were. Resonaters reduce high frequency sounds like your rasp. Else weld in high Flo 200 cell cats and that will reduce high and low frequency sounds.

Either way the rasp will be gone. I never ran mine catless but I went with high Flo cats.

No matter what brand of do you get........rasp will occur if your completely catless.

Wow, I would be careful with the ebay stuff, the box looks like a Taiwanese box, and the welds are not suppose to be grind'd down like that. it will take away from the longevity of the pipe and more prone to cracks and leaks.

Neither the less, uber bang for the buck....

Correct. You can add resonators to the exhaust to help tame rasp.

Exactly how tight are the fitment of these pipes? I was planning on getting mine ceramic coated but with my lucky they wouldn't fit.
Thoughts?

You could have the coated and fitment shouldn't be a problem. There is enough play between them that I don't see a coating should cause problems during install as well as touching down the road.
