Yeah i know, i just kinda feel like BMW has a pretty massive budget for engineering their cars, so im thinking they would have made sure they put the fastest final drive ratio in without the engine and etc being compromised

I'm actually not sure, I know where you're coming from though. There are several members here that have done it though. I'll see if I can find some threads.

Wouldnt you think the 330 would be more involving to drive though? Steering, suspension, handling, etc...? I cant decide between speed or steering/handling. The audi isnt bad, just not as good

Okay thanks, i looked a little and most people were saying that they were only doing that to the 335, because the 330 didnt have adequete power for that. I think it does, i just dont think itd be reliable for the engine and drivetrain. I did see that there is an injen intake, that gives the car 12hp and 10 tq, which i dont think is that accurate since the bmw performance one only gives the car 5, and even then its only really effective along with the exhaust. The 330 is expensive to modify, and you dont really get that much out of it. Hence...the RS6 thread...

$$$
the RS6 is a real nice car...very powerful, quattro and i think it looks good but...
if money is not a big deal to you, then get the RS6, cause it will be VERY expensive to own for a few years. it seems though that the cost of selling and buying is a big deal to you. i'd suggest a 2007 335i...,depending on mileage and options/packages you could probably get a nice one for high 20's if you look hard enough. good luck.

I have a neighbor that had an RS6 and he is not impeded by cost in any way and it was a beautiful car with tons of power but man it was always in the shop for multiple failures in the drive line all AWD and tranny related. He traded for an E63, man that is a beast. A friend has the E55 and it is fast and bullet proof but expensive to own because of gas mileage. If you have the financial concerns you expressed I'd honestly say it's out of your reach but if you do go thru with it get a warranty either third party or Audi extended or you will be out of pocket significantly. Also have to agree it will be tough to get 24K for your 330i in the current market. Good luck.

Makes perfect sense to me If the same dealership was selling your car you would want to pay 18-19k. Get real.

Yeah pretty much. I am real trust me, I bought a 04 x5 4.4i sport pkg and everything for 21,000 last april, and sold it in september for 28,500. Its not hard if you know what your doing and how to market your car...and negotiate with the dealer.

I was driving it today, and was kind of thinking that. I know it makes SENSE to get a 500 hp car over a 260 one, but the bmw drives so well, and its so much fun to drive. I doubt the audi would have as much communication to the driver and be as controllable through all the twisty roads i live around

Yep thats an if. I might call an audi dealer nearby and speak to one of their older service advisors (as in, one who has been there a while) to see if the rs6 has been one of their "problem cars" and see if he would recommend one with over 50,000
