Quick video of 12mm Macht Schnell on F80 M3 with stock suspension. The car was not driven between shots.

Hey Tom,

I was thinking about getting the KW sleeve kit for the M3 and was wondering if there will be any rubbing issue with a 15/15 spacer setup on the stock 19in rims and tires, I'm usually the only person in the car and the trunk is empty most of the time. Also do you think that there will be any problems with the KW and Adaptive suspension.

Thanks.

15/15 would work but would recommend 12/15 instead since the front wheels are slightly offset a bit more aggressive than the rear.

This way all four wheels are perfectly flush with the fenders.

Thanks a lot for your reply, so you recommend 12 on the front and 15 on the back.

Other way around, 15mm front and 12mm rear (assuming stock tire sizes are being retained).

Planning on doing the KW HAS kit and dropping her all the way. Was either going to do 15/15 or 18/18. Running stock 437M wheel/tire setup. Wanting to be as flush as possible, with a little poke, similar to how my Z was setup (see attached). What do you recommend?

This car is 15 all around if you want an idea of what the fit looks like. The 18/15 though would be more what you are looking for with a little more poke in the front.

From the looks of it, I may actually want to do 20/20. Doesn't look like I'd have to worry about rubbing, would I?

Are there any wheel lock and lugs that work with spacers for either 18" or 19" setups?

I know the 20's had some rubbing. I would stick to 18's and lower for a rub free fitment.

The ones we have used the most are the RAD wheel locks. If you shoot me your spacer sizing I can show you the right size bolt.

I'm planning on a 15/12 spacer using the stock 19's and KW HAS lowered all the way down. This setup will be used for track/autoX exclusively. I'm also searching for another set of wheels - 10f &11r using 275/305 tire that will see some track time but not much. I'm guessing the second set of wheels / tires won't need spacers. My question is this: given the frequency of wheel changes, are there any adverse effects of removing and reapplying the spacers over time, other than human error?

You will experience some rubbing if lowered with a 20/20 setup with aggressive driving. Might want back to a 15/18 setup.

None really, just make sure the mating surfaces (back of wheel & rotor) are clean of any surface rust before reinstalling.

And always torque lugs in start pattern to 105ft-lb. afterwards.

15/18 should get you there. Did you plan on running springs or coilovers?

This looks great! I'm going to do this 15/12 set up on my identical M3.
Need help with springs though...the 435 is different than the M3 sport springs? Which will lower the car equally and not create a situation where the front rakes down? Thanks.

Here's some real world examples:

Stock

435 H&R Sport Springs

M3/M4 H&R Sport Springs

OEM Spring measurement

435 H&R Sport measurement

M3/M4 H&R Sport Spring Measurement

Front drop is identical. Approximately 1/4" different in rear height between 435 vs M3/M4.

I would think the springs would be too soft and mess with the handling. I wouldnt think it would break the car.
